Place Value Play

A big part of Unit 2 in math is about place value. Today, due to some reading tests all LWS students had to take, the schedule didn't allow us to skip for math, so we stayed together (yay!) and played Place Value Top it.
First the kids made place value cards for ones through millions.  Then, taking turns and using number cards 0-9, they worked to make the biggest number they could.  Players also had to read the numbers they made.
Judging by the noise (good, productive noise), this game was a hit!  And it was good practice for a necessary skill!

  1. I really think we should play that game again.
